Scavenger Hunt of Mt. Monadnock

A year ago, my 8th grade team went on a hike up Mt. Monadnock in New Hampshire. I wrote this post and never published it! There was a scavenger hunt that our teachers made. My group found all but ONE! Here is the list and the pictures that me and my group took:

  1. You at the ranger hut or at the trail sign.
  2. Find the crossroads for White Cross and White Dot trails.
  3. Fall foliage!
  4. Evidence of glacial scarring
  5. A cairn above the tree line.
  6. An animal.
  7. Water.
  8. An 8 Gold teacher at the summit (This is the one we didn't get. We were late to the summit and we did not stay with the teachers for long)
  9. At the summit… the USGS survey marker
  10. At the summit, find a carving from around the time of the Civil War
  11. Lunchtime at the summit
  12. Boston, from the summit
  13. Silly shot at the summit - be creative!
  14. Some ice
  15. You or a teammate hugging a tree.
  16. A flowering plant. (We got this but could not get the pictures to download)
  17. A sugar maple tree
  18. Your crew… at the bottom, after the hike is over. (We also got this but didn't get the pictures)
